Since the technical demo from 2005 E3 demo, fans have been anticipated a remake of Final Fantasy VII, however, Square Enix continuously dismissed any possibility of a remake. However, on March 3rd, they posted on their twitter account a questions what do the fans think of a remake. Two days later, there were so many positive replies that Square Enix thanked the fans (in other words: asked to stop posting) and asked about their opinion over a Final Fantasy VIII remake. 

Maybe Square Enix finally started to consider a FFVII remake, or perhaps they are playing with the fans again like with the technical demo back in 2005, either way it is a small step further to the highly anticipated title after bringing us a whole compilation of four games to the FFVII universe in the past few years.
